Holiday times bring a memory of an old college friendship. When we would get together after we graduated we would hear Bob exclaim “Too many dogs in the house”. It didn’t mean any were leaving, rather more might be on the way. Holidays are a time for family, both blood and chosen. The chosen included our fur kids. Most often they got along but sometimes they brought their own drama.
🎁PROMPT 10: How do the holidays show your fur kids are an integral part of your family? 🎁
I remember my first dog cotton and I taking naps in my tiny Datsun B210 while heading to my parent’s house for Christmas. She always got her own presents to unwrap there. If I was to go away for a holiday my dogs until Esther always went with me. Esther was a Staffordshire terrier and my parents felt she was too muscular for them to control. Thanksgiving sometimes had me making my own full dinner for my dog(s) and myself. Lots of leftovers, but it was wonderful.
