If Life Doesn’t Go to Plan Is It Really the End of the World?
How spontaneity helped me have a wonderful day
I am like an obsessive and jealous ex when it comes to planning to meet up with a friend. Particularly when we agree on a time to meet and they are a minute over.
As a person, I need to know what we are doing and when.
If I am going shopping with friends, I need to know what time we’ll be getting the train, how long it will be, what time we’re coming back and lots of other finicky details.
It is a long and very exhaustive list. For your sake, I won’t write out all the things I usually feel like I need to know.
I take great pleasure in being able to predict how my day will look so I can adequately prepare for any obstacles.
Obviously, that is not possible in every situation. With some situations you just have to ride the wave.
Today was one of those days.
My morning
It started with getting a morning call from my agency. They wanted me to work.
So I rang the taxi company and asked if they could pick me up. I momentarily panicked when he said it’ll be a struggle to find a driver.
