Show me the life I left unlived.
Not the grave,
but the moments I could’ve lived
like I meant it. Where joy once reached for me and I turned away.
where laughter lingered at my door
but I drew my curtains closed.
Where love called soft as rain,
but I stayed beneath the storm.
I want to know
why I wore sorrow like a skin,

Show me the exact moment
I mistook pain for purpose,
sadness for my soul.
Let me meet the self
who believed he didn’t deserve
the light.

If I must go, let me know this:
even i lived in darkness there was a
Heart who still longed for the sun.
