How I Take Control Of My Body & My Life
Never surrender to anything!
On March 14, I wrote the following on a Substack note:
Just as I thought my life was all good and I didn’t have to fight/struggle anymore, my previous saving grace, the good health I’ve enjoyed, is leaving me. My menopause started recently, and my body is no longer the same. I now experience musculoskeletal pain in my legs and shoulders. I’ve lost strength and flexibility in my arms and legs. I am going to fight this by doing whatever exercises are necessary and taking whatever supplements are necessary!💪 Wish me luck!😃
It’s been one month since I posted the note. I am happy to share what I thought would last or get worse till I die didn’t happen. I seriously thought it was the beginning of the end. I was sad, scared, and depressed.
I am 53.5 years old and have maintained a pretty good weight most of my life. My BMI is about 21. So, when I started having my joint problems, it wasn’t due to weight.
Anyway, I am a fighter.
