A POEM
Yeah, I’m telling You
a poem on smile and smiling by Sakshi Gupta
You laughed at something random today, didn’t you?
Maybe a silly reel.
Maybe your best friend’s weird face.
Or maybe just the way your sock betrayed you by giving up on you,
sliding halfway off your foot.
Yeah. That.
That was a good moment.
You found the pen that writes just right.
You re-read an old message because it felt good.
You opened your window,
and this time the wind didn’t slap you in the face—
it hugged you.
There’s that one shirt in your wardrobe
you always reach for when you need comfort.
Not because it looks great,
but because it feels like home—
so you can walk around the house feeling confident.
You remembered an inside joke that's as old as you,
and you smiled mid-conversation.
No one noticed,
but it lit something tiny in you.
It reminded you that joy doesn’t really leave—
sometimes it just stays hidden in the memories.
