The India We Dream Of💓
A reflection on misdemeanor, injustice, and wrong beliefs: A hymn for equality and a dream of justice by Savage Tongue
Are we too blind to see what’s going on?
Not paying attention to more important things,
like—economy, infrastructure, inflation and growth.
I grew up seeing people— how much they resent and regret the religious wars;
to see the pain, bloodshed of children, women and men,
and to find all the doors closed.
I thought what they teach in school was all true—
that all Indians are my brothers and together we promised to grow.
But what have we grown into? A nation with inner conflicts,
and a victim of manipulation, who does not have any clue.
The mainstream media has become an entertainment industry.
Anchors shout more nonsense than the patient in a psychiatric infirmary.
The roads are broken and accidents occur daily on the railway tracks.
But they all made us think that we should be worried about the temple and mosques that were made hundreds of years back.
