Sarah has joined Julia and I in Ketchikan. The three of us board the MV Kennicott, bound for Juneau.
While Julia and I are again sharing a cabin, Sarah wants to sleep outside. She and I go exploring to find a good spot. We carry a deck lounge chair up a flight of stairs to an open, but covered, place where a few others have already settled in.
We talk to a young man who is competing in the upcoming Ironman competition. He used to live in Juneau, so I ask him: What do you recommend we do? He suggests a bar, The Narrows, and a hike to see Herbert Glacier.
