The Two “Races” of Men in This World
And how you can make the world a better place
The world is full of sad stuff.
Open up any newspaper on any given day and what you’ll find is mostly sad: Crime, corruption, death, accidents, a global pandemic, and war. Oh yes, and sports and the weather.
There’s a lot of hate and fear in the world and it is beyond my imagination where all that is coming from.
While there are many things I don’t understand about humans, one particular thing really baffles me: racism.
Racism refers to the prejudice and discrimination of people based on their membership to a particular racial or ethnic group. While the term racism is rather new, the idea behind the ideology goes way back in time.
I don’t know what’s sadder: That racism has been around for so long or that racism is still here in the 21st century.
While there may be different reasons for why individuals are or become racist — one of the most important ones certainly being fear — there should be no excuse for it.
Too many times history has shown us what racism is capable of when instrumentalized by the wrong people for the wrong reasons.
