Three Changes Since I Quit Drinking
The last one is my favorite
It’s been 30 days since I’ve had a drink. Not to toot my own horn, but “Toot Toot,” I feel great!
There are 3 places where I notice the absence of drink has positively affected my life.
Better Sleep
Since I quit drinking last month, I’ve been averaging 8 hours and 10 minutes of sleep per night. And that’s good, quality sleep.
I am no longer waking up with dry mouth, an upset stomach, or needing to use the restroom.
I’m sleeping solidly through the night, and I wake up feeling refreshed.
Since it is summer and I’m a teacher, I’ve also been letting my body sleep in and follow its natural circadian rhythms. My body is quite happy with this change.
If I get tired in the middle of the day, I take a power nap versus grabbing a second cup of coffee.
When I was drinking, I always felt tired and I never felt like I got caught up on my sleep.
