Margaret Sanger and her horrible history with birth control
The dark history of birth control is one that most people are not familiar with. It’s time to bring light to the darkness. In this article, we’re going to discuss the activist Margaret Sanger, the birth control movement that led to using the women of Puerto Rico as test subjects, and the roles of Sanger, Gamble, and Eugenics in doing so.
To understand the dark history of birth control, we must first understand . She’s commonly known as the “founding mother of ” or “The Birth Control Movement.” And when you’re familiar with her true history (not the retouched versions on Wikipedia), you’ll see that it was much more than that. Many know that she was a “feminist.” But what people don’t know is that she was also a eugenicist, born-again Christian, and Nazi sympathizer. It’s important to mention here because if you’re going to study and research Sanger’s life, you will probably come across this information at some point in your research as it popped up in various places on the internet.
