How My Friend Became A Victim Of Bisexual Erasure

My friend is proud to be a bisexual woman. A while ago, she met a guy and they really hit it off.

She would go on and on about how she adored him, how attractive she thought he was, how amazing their chemistry was etc. She was also open with him about her bisexuality. He gave the impression that he was okay with it, or so she thought.

I never truly understood biphobia until my friend recounted her experience. It was only then that I realized that biphobia is real and that bisexual people continue facing stigmas and biphobic comments.

Anyways, after going on a few dates, my friend and the guy hooked up.

My friend raved on and on about how amazing it was, but well, the guy gave her cold feet after that.

She was hurt. She thought things were going pretty great, but she felt that they weren’t on the same page as he was constantly avoiding her calls and texts.

When things got a bit too far she called him out and made it clear that if he’s not interested in maintaining a connection with her, he can just be honest instead of playing games.
