Why Calling Someone Lazy is the Laziest Explanation of All
And the not-so-frivolous consequences of this lackadaisy
I'm like most people in 2022. I beseech Google almighty when I have a question that requires an urgent answer.
Click, clack, Enter.
I haphazardly poke my keyboard to produce “lazy APA.” I do the bare bones to find my answer: “What is the definition of lazy as per the American Psychological Association (APA)?” –my Jeopardy question would read.
“Lay-Z-Spa” spits out the tech-powered oracle, attempting to correct the “APA” in my query —interpreting it as a typo.
If I didn’t know better, I might think “lazy” is a beauty treatment, according to the engine’s results.
