Insights from the Zen of Book Authoring
Here’s Why I Rarely Write for My Peers But Mainly for My Customers.
That might sound ironic or even a little hypocritical. But I promise, it is not in this multilayered post about effective communication for everyone.
It is Saturday here as I write this — one of those quiet moments when the world feels like moving a little slower. I was deep in self-editing mode, polishing a chapter of my upcoming memoir, The Zen of Book Authoring. Somewhere between trimming extra words and sharpening sentences for better comprehension and additional value, I paused and thought: This is more than another writing tip for writers or book authors.
It felt like something bigger—something worth sharing not just with writers or book authors but also with readers, creators, parents, managers, leaders—anyone who communicates in some way (which is pretty much all of us, right?).
I realized I had a chance to do what I love most — feed two birds with one scone. Offer something that speaks to both sides of my community: the writers looking to improve their stories or books, and the readers looking to apply these lessons in everyday life.
