You Will Never Be This Young Again
A raw, poetic glimpse into the beautiful chaos of your twenties
You will never be this young again.
And no one warned you how fleeting it feels.
One day you're laughing at nothing with your friends at 2 AM,
The next, you're sipping coffee trying to stay awake in a 9-to-5.
This age,
It’s messy rooms filled with dreams too big to fit in them.
It’s changing plans every week, yet holding onto one stupid dream
as if the world will end if it doesn’t come true.
It’s checking your phone 50 times a day
to see if they texted,
feeling too much and pretending you don’t,
screenshotting conversations just to read them again later
and overanalyze every word like it’s a riddle only your heart can solve.
It’s feeling out of place at home sometimes,
like you’re growing too fast for the walls you grew up in.
And it’s being scared to admit how much you miss your childhood,
when happiness meant cold mangoes in summer
and running barefoot till your mom yelled from the gate.
