Unpacking The Impact of Diminished Sexual Activity on Relationships
Here’s what I’ve learned.
Let’s visit this scenario. You and your partner haven’t had sex in a while. One or both of you is feeling increasingly sexually frustrated. You wonder when you’re EVER going to have sex again.
But life keeps getting in the way.
The daily grind of life-involved responsibilities can be immensely draining — mentally, emotionally, and physically. Quite often, we are much more depleted than we even consciously realize.
As a result, our relationships often succumb to the persistent vampire of responsibilities that hunt us down and suck up our vital energy.
This can affect our libido significantly.
So what happens when you and your partner haven’t had sex for many days, weeks, or even months? Is the relationship over? Is the love gone? Does it mean you should break up?
Maybe some relationships can’t withstand this kind of dry spell in the sex department, and that’s certainly understandable. Sex is important to a lot of people, and not being sexually fulfilled within a relationship is a huge deal to many people.
