This Stunning Temple in Tamil Nadu Will Change How You See Ancient Architecture
Capturing the Unmatched Beauty of Thanjai Periya Kovil
While stepping into the grounds of Thanjai Periya Kovil, it was also honored as the Brihadeshwar Temple, taken through the veil of time. Built by the great Chola Emperor Rajaraja I in the 11th century, this temple is not only historical, it is a permanent desire for ancient Dravidian talent.
First impression at Dawn
As soon as the sun slowly dissolved the horizon, the temple was bathed in hot, golden colors. Capturing the first image, I implicated the huge fiction of the temple, a stunning pyramid-like structure.
Using my smartphone camera, I deliberately deployed the tower centrally, allowing the soft morning lights to emphasize its complex carvings while birds danced independently in the cold sky.
Sculptural Poetry in Stone
