2 Insights For Doing Pro Bono Work To Help Self-Employed Adventure Photographers Gain Skills And Build A Strong Professional Network

On September 07, 2023, I chose to work for “free” instead of earning €10,000 for two weeks.

Why would I do something like this for the second year in a row? Because working for “free” was worth more than €10,000.

If you are a self-employed adventure photographer, here are two insights for doing pro bono work to help you build skills and a strong professional network:

Insight #1: The people you meet are worth more than cash.

The international flags displayed in my little hamlet remind me of the international athletes I met at SUP 11-City Tour 2023.

In 2022, I volunteered for the SUP 11-City Tour for the first time, where I captured the highlights of the 5-day race. This year, I extended my coverage to the non-stop and 5-day races.
