Home is where my bra isn’t. And I know a lot of women who, too, throw their bras into the basket as soon as they kick off their heels.

And that’s okay, isn’t it? At home, no one is bothered by your jiggling breasts bouncing up and down at will, modestly obscured behind an oversized tee.

But what isn’t okay is to take off your bra during a cozy evening at the school dormitory — while breasts are still covered in a jumper, of course — and forget about it.

Recently, I read Stop Using Male Students and Teachers To Shame Girls by

. It’s linked below. In his story, he writes about his experiences with dress code violations at schools. Specifically, the shaming and sending home of girls to change their clothes because they allegedly distract boys and male teachers by wearing short skirts and crop tops to school.

Steve refutes that clothing plays a significant role when pubescent boys pay excessive attention to girls.

It was this sentence that reminded me of the most important lesson I ever learned at school:

But, too many people, many of them women, do blame these girls.
