Wakened by Thunder
The pleasure of partners in bad weather (After Hanshan)
Jan 27, 2021
Wakened by thunder, my husband
Climbs the ladder to check the gutters.
Lightning flashes on his lovely face.
Asleep, I steal the comforter.
At breakfast, I imagine all this
Listening to his rain-soaked adventures.
Who else could look so beautiful
As they act so crazy?
