Sex strikes are a surprisingly successful tool of resistance
Nothing dries up a p*ssy faster than removing the right to bodily autonomy of the person attached to it.
This second Trump term will particularly through continued efforts to limit access to abortion, contraception, and gender-affirming healthcare. Trump’s legacy of judicial appointments and ideologically driven policy changes has already reshaped the landscape of reproductive rights and women’s health, and a second term will accelerate these changes. For many women, particularly those in marginalized communities, this would likely result in greater challenges to accessing necessary healthcare and a more regressive political environment concerning gender equality and sexual autonomy.
Something none of these people seeking to control a woman’s choices about her own body seem to have considered, though, is how much less likely the average woman will now be to engage in sex with a man. And why would they? It takes two people to become pregnant, but in the event of conception, the responsibility falls entirely on the woman. It’s no wonder that, in the days and weeks following the election, there are rumblings everywhere about women withholding sex from men.
