Immigration Is Still the Issue

A dear old friend from high school has become a Trump supporter. I will call her Mary to protect her identity as I describe our real conversation. In her message to me, Mary said, “I vote according to the Bible. We are pro-life. Kamala is for abortion, which are you (the baby) die, so I can live… a very selfish stance. I stand with the scriptures that say to die to self and not to murder that which God created in the womb, which is precious.”
I really wanted to find out why she identified with Trump. Not only that, but I wondered what she thought about what a Trump presidency means not just on abortion but on immigration, which to me was at the center of the Trump run for the presidency.
