The Alt-Right Pipeline for Girls?
“Tradwives” “divine feminine” and “wellness” as gateways
The alt-right is a fancy word for fascist and white supremacist. It was invented by a white nationalist named , who dreams of creating a white ethnostate, has condemned Martin Luther King Jr, and believes that immigration is a war on white people. I don’t like using the word “alt-right” because it is sugar coating what these people really believe in and want, making it sound official and arbitrary.
However, I still use it from time to time simply because people know what it is, and it grabs certain attention. The alt-right has primarily spread online, and with it, racist conspiracy theories such as the Great Replacement Theory and Holocaust denial. How these ideas spread is referred to as the “alt-right pipeline.” A person, looking at seemingly neutral or “mainstream” right-wing ideas, is gradually radicalized through social media algorithms that show them increasingly extreme content.
This became a major discussion after Trump was elected, as these alt-right individuals supported and felt emboldened by him. And now, it’s coming around again, in Trump’s second term. In the 2016–2020 era, the alt-right was typically associated with men, and the primary discussion was how young men were falling into this.
