The party life of permanently-exhausted reclusive adults and their midnight theatre date
Greetings fellow readers, writers, and Fourth-Wave feminist fighters! Here is everything I have been up to since the last newsletter.
The first piece of good news is that my partner and I are planning to stay in our residence for at least another year (yay, no moving), and the even better news is that after almost a full year in Wichita, we can officially call this place home. We have gradually made connections in the small area we frequent, including the people my partner and I work alongside. In fact, it’s nice that I get to work with my partner; we have a new rhythm that we have grown to love, and it’s helped us become functional — which, in the context of how the housing crisis and cost-of-living pushed us away and our mental health was declining, is an incredible feat for us both.
And to balance out the chaos, I rushed a closing shift so my partner and I, along with a couple of our co-workers, could go to a midnight showing of The Rocky Horror Picture Show at the Orpheum Theatre.
