Are Parents Teaching Their Young Boys Manners Anymore?
I don’t remember my experience in school being anything like it is for my kids today
I try my best to instill in both of my kids that we are kind to others. You should stick up for people who are being made fun of, and please do not be the kid who bullies others.
I also try to explain that not everyone is nice and sometimes people may be mean to you, but that isn’t your fault. The problem lies within them.
I have a boy that is 10 and in 4th grade and a girl that is 8 and in 2nd grade. They argue and fight with each other like siblings do but I have never had any complaints from the teacher or bus driver about their behavior when I am not there. But I am seriously considering homeschooling them.
Let alone as parents we worry about school shootings; we also worry about bullies and if our kids feel safe enough to come to us about what may be happening at school.
This school year I have had to talk to both of my kid’s teachers several times about concerns about bullies. Their teachers were attentive and have addressed the situations only for my kids to tell me it continues. My son was afraid to have me tell his teacher due to possible…
