He happened to live in a small busy town among ordinary cats, but he was extraordinary. His name was Charlie. There was something peculiar about him. He could only move back. It was so from the day he was born. Even when Charlie’s family and friends noticed this strange behavior from him, the other kittens ran forward chasing after toys. Charlie was always moving in reverse. It’s not as if he didn’t try walking like others. He just couldn’t walk.

Initially, the other cats found him to be playful in his reverse gait. “Look at Charlie go!” they would jeer. As time went by, their mockery transformed into whispers and eventually judgment. “Why can’t you just be normal?” some sneered at him. Others ignored him. Charlie began to become an outcast even in his town. He started avoiding the others and stuck to his small corner of the world where he did not feel judged.

A Fateful Meeting

One day, while Charlie wandered near the edge of the forest, he met an elderly cat named Luna. Luna was renowned for her wisdom. She had spent a lot of years helping others find their purpose in life. She watched Charlie with one observant eye as he slowly retreated backward from a fluttering leaf.
