Where the Wild Weeds Grow
In Awe of Relentless Beauty
It was a little brisk on my walk today. The air felt cold on my face, but the sun warmed me up ever so slightly. The path I chose, was one off the neighborhood that has a path that careens through dried-up marshland. I always look out into this vast land, always in wonder, seeing if I can see any sign of life or something that piques my interest. This walk never fails me, I always seem to spot something new. Today, I couldn’t help but notice how wild the plants grow. How they seem to grow interdependent in their surroundings but aren’t tended to by the human touch.
These roots are strengthened by the wind, and fed by the rain, and the sun casts its magic for which they grow. All without us. It’s proof that not everything needs tending, and nature is no exception. There is so much awe to be had here, how a tiny seed grows into an extraordinary plant. How roots given the right environment tend to thrive and plants blossom out of nowhere. How a single dandelion seed can travel a long way and start its journey to become the infamous yellow weed.
