Hope Has an Extraordinary Echo
According to this little bird, it's got an awesome reverb
Yesterday morning, this little fella attempted to fly into my dining room. He would’ve made it, except that he didn’t anticipate the dining room being on the other side of my glass doors.
I heard a thunk and found him at the threshold, completely stunned. He allowed me to gently scoop him up and carry him to an open space in my courtyard so he could spread his wings and fly once more.
At first, I was worried he might have broken his wing. He fluttered around on the ground disoriented, but it didn’t take him long before he jumped onto my Joseph’s Coat climbing rose.
Crazy as this may sound, this lil’ spirit messenger offered me so much joy by letting me hold him. He allowed me to exchange some hope with him that he’d spread his wings and fly.
Amid the constant white noise attempting to drown out my faith in humanity, I remain hopeful. I’m not one to indulge in nihilism, nor am I tone-deaf to the world’s complicated state of affairs.
