A Drabble is a fiction story of exactly 100 words — no more, no less. So please stick around for 30 seconds so Medium can see it’s been read.

In a world where everything was run by the regulation board, not much got done. Some said it was a blessing. In the past, everything got done at lightning speed, and before you knew it, the country was in chaos.

So, the lawmakers handed over the reins to the board. Now, it made the laws. It signed executive orders. It was the enforcer.

The constitution held up, for the most part. But there was no more voting, or ‘We the People.’

And now and then, the board needed some tweaking. So, the programmers came in and rewrote the board’s code.
