“There you are, Doctor. Dragging your feet again, I see.”
“From your viewpoint, Holmes. I was actually engaged with Mrs. Hudson for a spell. It appears she’s lost her best hand-knitted, Royal Albert pattern tea cozy. Fears it may have been stolen, she says. And from your demeanor this morning, I surmise you missed your cocaine last night, eh?”
“Cease your imprecations, McDrabble. I had a pleasant evening with Bach and my violin.”
“Glad I was at the club and spared the screeching,” whispered McDrabble under his breath.”
