If Trees Were Humans
Why we must stop building and let the world breathe
Today’s writing challenge was to write a story using the random word manner in the fantasy genre
The chainsaw roars through the forest.
With giant strides, the wooden man closes in. Rage fuels his manner with primal power. His every step makes the earth tremble.
Nostrils flaring, he smells the stench. The chainsaw’s intruders, cowering on the ground. Terrorized.
He’s ready to crush them in one single step, as he’s done dozens of times before.
But a crying voice pierces the chaos.
“WWAAAIIIITTTTTT! We mean you no harm.”
The titan hesitates.
A shaking, little girl in an Ikea T-shirt wraps her father — huddled on the floor.
Maybe these creatures aren’t so different from his own species.
Sustainable world fact: Global tropical forests shrank by an area larger than Belgium every year from 2002 to 2019, satellite data shows. !
