A Tiktok Therapist Invalidated My Dating Journey As A Trauma Survivor

A few months ago, my Tiktok video sharing my dating journey went viral. As a growing influencer on that platform with over 27,000 followers, most of whom are domestic violence survivors, I try to be as transparent and honest about my trauma recovery journey from healing from narcissistic abuse and finding love again.
I began my dating journey nearly a year ago after healing from the end of a catastrophic emotionally abusive relationship that involved sexual trauma, victim-blaming, a smear campaign, and stalking from a partner of 5-years who refused to let me go.
I wrote my way out of this relationship by live journaling my abuse from an anonymous Instagram pen name, Sincerely Miss Mary, and accessing my embodied self, unknowingly using somatic experiencing and IFS, which I’m now certified in.
