Stanford University

The hardest part was getting accepted

I am still incredibly proud that I got into Stanford University. However, now that I ponder it, getting in was the hardest part.

The Journey To California: A Trip Of Acceptance

The Stanford Process began long before I stepped on the sun-soaked Stanford campus. It was a grueling application process, highly competitive, and extremely pressure-packed. I knew that getting into a school like Stanford meant more than just good grades way back in high school — it required consistency and discipline. Whether excelling in my AP courses, joining extracurriculars, or working on side projects, each move seemed like a step towards what I tirelessly worked for getting accepted to Stanford.

The day I learned I was admitted is still one of the most surreal memories of my life. The excitement, pride, and sense of accomplishment were impossible to put into words. But that initial moment of joy dipped quickly to serve as a reminder that the most challenging part had all but been endured. I had secured a place for myself in the ranks of an international group of students who all had spent long hours in high school like I did to “create” the ideal candidate. I was the president of my class, valedictorian…
