When the twenty-five year old Duchess of Edinburgh became Queen Elizabeth II she was already a wise, tough, and percipient lady of character. She could negotiate with world leaders, repair a truck, speak French and make difficult executive decisions. Comparing her to Prince Harry, I conclude even the aristocracy has forgotten how to raise elite children.

Private schools are not the answer. They offer an artificial environment full of distractions. Smaller classrooms are the only real difference between a public school and a private school. Both feature the same subjects, methods, and mentality. The goal of public school is the same as a hundred years ago. It’s purpose is to produce standardized, patriotic, and docile factory or office workers. Unfortunately, much of this work will soon be done by robots or AI.

Donald Trump, Elon Musk, and Prince Harry are alumni of exclusive private schools. All three claim to be oppressed everyday people trying to fight the establishment. This seems absurd to most of us, but I suspect they really believe it in their own heads. This is a result of being raised in the same rigid and conformist system as everyone else. They were taught that punctuality, competition, and cramming as much into a day as possible were the tickets to success. I can’t accuse today’s oligarchs of being lazy.
