The Amis Music Festival in Dulan, Taiwan, isn’t just a music festival — it’s a once-in-a-lifetime cultural experience.

Held in a tiny surf town on Taiwan’s east coast, this Indigenous-led celebration only happens two out of every three years. But for those lucky enough to catch it, it offers something increasingly hard to find: authenticity.

There are no big-name headliners. No corporate sponsors. No endless Insta distractions.

What you get instead is something deeper: breathtaking performances, traditional songs you won’t find on Spotify, treats based on centuries-old recipes, and a powerful sense of community — all under the open sky with the ocean to one side and mountains to the other.

This underrated music festival will stay with you forever.
