The Exploitation of Crime News Proves Fundamentalism Isn’t Christlike
If anything can become an excuse for hate, it means we’re forgetting about love
Laken Riley was a 22-year-old nursing student who was murdered on February 22nd, 2024 while jogging on the University of Georgia’s campus in Athens. The killer, Jose Ibarra, 26, to life in prison without the possibility of parole, the maximum possible, on November 20th, 2024.
The fact that this horrific crime was carried out by an undocumented immigrant soon “a for immigration reform from many conservatives, including President-elect Donald Trump”, who released a statement following the verdict, “our hearts will always be with” Riley.
