Heart’s Connection

Learning to live and love in the present

I opened my eyes for the first time today
surprised to look down and see my hands as they lay
in the center of my chest and slightly left, stacked serenely with love
lately, learning to live with heart is all I’ve been thinking of
as I whipped the blanket back and put my feet on the ground
I saw the queen, my cutie cat, looking sweeter than a chocolate mound
then I stretched my hands high to high-five my guardian angels
glanced in the mirror at the face for which time is slowly revealing angles
of sacred geometry, and it’s quite a dichotomy, my views on it tend to tangle
while I think I’m still pretty cute, one day this smooth skin might dangle
if I’m blessed to see what old age means, so I’m working on my self esteem
no longer feel the need to have just anybody on my team
community is what I truly want
