Brooke Hogan, Unplugged — Escaping Fame and Family to Find Her Voice
Being the daughter of a world-famous wrestler should’ve given her a free ride to fame. Instead, it nearly cost her everything.
It was the summer of 2021 when singer Brooke Hogan realized that something or rather, someone, was standing in her way.
The Redemption, Brooke’s last studio album, was released to lukewarm reception 12 years before. In the time that followed, only five singles and two country EPs would be music streaming apps.
“As I get older and look back on life,” she Facebook, “the one thing I found that really made my soul light up was music.”
“I used to get so caught up on how the song had to be released ‘correctly,’ [and how] it had to fit an image, a sound, a brand. Everyone had an opinion. But you know what? I’m a writer, I love singing my heart out to the heavens, and I love creating.”
The VH1 Celebreality alum then dropped a bomb: She was ready to share hordes of unreleased music she kept to herself over the years.
