Why Do People Skip the Last Two Seasons of The Office?
These people are missing some great episodes.
The Office was a hit TV show that ran from 2005 to 2013. In nine seasons, the show gained a rabid following, and it still has an intense fandom over a decade since the show went off the air. Many households, including mine, have The Office reruns streaming regularly.
However, discussions among fans on message boards and Reddit come up reasonably often. The question is frequently asked: Are seasons 8 and 9 worth watching? Fans are usually split on this, as some say the show went downhill after Steve Carell left the show at the end of season seven.
Carell played the clueless, bumbling, but surprisingly effective manager Michael Scott. Under his leadership, the Scranton branch of Dunder Mifflin became the strongest performer for the paper company. This is on top of' countless 'that’s what she said' jokes and other questionable behavior. The character at first had a crueler edge, much like Ricky Gervais’ character in the UK version of the show. However, by season two, Carell had made Michael the man-child with a heart of gold that fans loved.
Fans also loved watching Michael’s interactions with the other office workers. There is the loyal (to a point) assistant, Dwight. Jim, whom Michael desperately wants…
