And social media is to blame

The other day I saw a couple of kids taking pictures of a waffle they were about to eat so they could post it on their Instagram story.
It made me realise just how egocentric we’ve become due to social media.
Think about it…
Everyone on social media is trying to compete and show the best possible highlights of their life, yet nobody actually cares about each other.
If we see someone else do something cool, we simply compare ourselves and want to do something cooler.
Platforms created to ‘connect’ people have brought us further apart than ever.
It’s no longer you sharing fun things with friends, instead, it’s become a competition between you and your friends.
I’m not saying this is the case for everybody, but I do notice most people falling for these traps.
Most people are super fake on social media.
They share the highs of their lives and even edit those to look better than they are.
And for what?
Do you really seek the validation an Instagram story gives you?
