Joan Feels Nauseous Whenever the CEO Talks to Her. I Think It’s Time for Her to Go.
And no, she is not physically unwell.
Some people disgust us.
I have plenty of such experiences.
Bad clients, cheap clients, demanding clients. I do my best to cope since they are my paymaster. With time, I learn to drop them before I get into a mental depression.
Joan’s case is slightly more complicated.
She has serious issues with our Number 1. It has gotten to the point where… she feels nauseous whenever his name is mentioned.
Her time to exit has come.
To me, that is.
Conflict within 4 walls
Personality repulsion is a real thing.
To Joan, Number 1 is not structured. He talks the big game, engages in the picture, and cannot appreciate the frustrations of the working teams. Her concerns were dismissed as operational imperfections 80% of the time.
To Number 1, Joan is not managerial material. She spends too much time working within legal constraints, compliance matters, and giving our clients [exactly] what they want.
And I paraphrase.
