A Memoir of Every Personality I Tried on in My 20s
And Why I Owe Each of Them an Apology (and Maybe a Drink)
“Your 20s are for finding yourself.”
Okay, but how many times am I supposed to find myself? Because at this point, I’ve got a whole collection.
I’m 28 now — and as I inch closer to the end of this wild, confusing, beautiful decade, I’m realizing I didn’t just “find myself” once. I tried on every possible version of me like I was shopping for a soul at a chaotic thrift store.
If I had to sum up my 20s in one sentence, it’d probably be:
I tried on a hundred different personalities like I was at a never-ending Halloween party — and forgot where the exit was.
Some versions of me were cool. Some… not so much.
Most left me lying in bed at 2 a.m. like, “Bro… what even is my personality?”
The Wellness Dude (Who Thought a Cold Shower Could Solve Trauma)
For a while, I genuinely believed all I needed was morning meditation, lemon water, and a gratitude journal.
I tried waking up at 5 AM to stretch, breathe, and “align my chakras.”
I lasted one week.
