Tindergarten of the LA Fires
Terror of wildfires.
Imagine a hurricane without water
with winds one hundred-mile-per-hour
lifting, levitating, and levying
embers in its wake.
A flying Tindergarten
blazing in inglorious grime.
Ravaging thousands of homes
and unsalvageable structures.
Renowned architectures
reduced into lashes
and dashes of tiny ashes.
Some belong to faces
in the arts and pop culture.
Pricey cars galore
gridlocked and landlocked
with no feet pressing
pedals to the metals.
Legs hightailing in tandem
out of the corridor of fire
to evacuation centers.
Mother Nature doesn’t discriminate
This ‘wind event’ is an ungodly hand.
A supernatural hazard that can’t be
reasoned or bargained with.
