Why is Self-Hate A Thing Among the New Generation?!
How can you not stand yourself?!
As far back as I can remember, sense of self was taught to me at a young age. As a young man, I learned what it meant to love and truly cherish what made me, me. Presently, at age 44, I’m still a lot of the same as I was when I was 34 or 29 etc.
However, when I go on Facebook and read little newsfeed tidbits from friends regarding self-hate. I just suddenly became alarmed like, “how is it that you don’t like yourself, what reason could there possibly be that you don’t like yourself?”
I see that a lot in the current generation, and it sorts of makes me wonder why so many feel like they just can’t look at themselves in the mirror. Like, I saw on a lady friend’s feed on Facebook where she was like, “you don’t like me, I don’t like me either.”
I mean, I can’t help but wonder why that’s an ongoing thing. I make mistakes and I’ve gotten to a point where I’ve listen to this, it’s mind-boggling.
A lady friend of mine, her boyfriend broke up with her and it’s gotten to a point where she is and is not okay. But I do wonder sometimes, what makes a person resort to self-hate every time something they do or did goes wrong or something in their life happens that alters the very fabric of their beings.
