Don’t Be Scared, This Storm Will Pass
I’ll Protect You, Little Girl
I love this poem. My Daddy, knows how much thunderstorms scare me. I will straight up hide in the closet or under the bed if I hear even one medium-sized clap of thunder.
He’s a good fella for always comforting me while I tremble in fear of the loud, scary noises. And for writing a sweet, caring poem about it. Check it out below, he’s the coolest Paw-Paw a girl could ask for. :)
You’re not a fan of wind and rain,
Your eyes reflect a subtle pain.
You hear the thunder, and the wind,
You whine so slight, your ears are pinned.
Dogs cannot comprehend the weather,
You hide under our couch of leather.
I coax you out and hold you close,
You try to hide and bury your nose.
Fear not, small dog, this too will pass,
This storm will end, my canine lass.
The earth needs nature’s drink once more,
It’s happened again, it’s happened before.
The streak of lighting, the crash of thunder,
Interrupts your peaceful slumber.
I’ll care for you…
