A Convicted Killer’s Very Last Words
He shouted out a message for President Donald Trump
A man on death row in Florida used his last opportunity to share a message with the world to show his unwavering support for President Donald Trump.
In his final statement, convicted killer Glen E. Rogers, 62, thanked his wife, who visited him earlier in the day at the prison. He also somewhat cryptically said, “In the near future, your questions will be answered,” without any details.
Then, moments before receiving the lethal injection, Glen Rogers shouted, “President Trump, keep making America great. I’m ready to go.”
He was executed for the 1995 murder of a 34-year-old mother of two whom he had met at a bar.
Roger’s lethal injection began after his message to Trump.
The death row inmate lay quietly through the procedure. Rogers was executed at Florida State Prison near Starke. According to prison authorities, Rogers was pronounced dead at 6:16 p.m.
A suspected serial killer, Rogers was once considered to have a possible link to the O.J. Simpson case in the 1990s.
