Some Days, It’s Ok to Just Survive

I can’t lie; I am going through it right now.

We’ve all had those chapters in our lives when we have so much on our plate, it can feel like we’re just dealing with obstacle after obstacle, challenge after challenge. Life can definitely sling you a lot of curveballs in a short space of time. That’s just the way it goes sometimes — but damn, can it be a task coping with it all.

Let’s be honest: even if we have a good support system behind us and plans in place to help us prioritise what’s most important, it can be really difficult sometimes to remain positive and hopeful in these types of situations. Experience tells us that things will lighten up and get easier eventually, but in the meantime, day-to-day living can feel incredibly overwhelming.

In the dark moments, it’s easy to have doubts about whether we can handle what’s ahead of us. But that doesn’t mean we aren’t up to the task. It just requires infinite patience on our part and realising that finding the way forward might look a little different than we first thought.

During these times, I think it’s important to remind ourselves of all the things that we are doing well — basically, being kind to ourselves. (I struggle with this advice…
