Stop Getting Mad at Fat Women for Being Hot
Beauty is not objective, so get out of here with your insecurities.
I recently came across two articles related to fatness. I found one of them extremely insightful and the other to be a heaping pile of body-shaming garbage.
To start with the positive: wrote an exceptionally good piece about why so many men are fatphobic.
I strongly recommend reading the whole piece, but the summary is that while men might claim to not want to date fat women because of personal preference, oftentimes it’s more about social clout. As a former husband to someone society deemed conventionally attractive, I can attest that people do treat you differently.
Walk in that same room with someone that society deems “undesirable” and they’re likely going to treat you with the same disdain.
Our culture offers us a very specific idea of what constitutes beauty. Beauty is thin. Beauty is appearing young. Beauty is blonde hair and light skin, free of tattoos or blemishes.
Personally, I find this rather limiting.
