I started to follow the Epstein case rather closely when Maxwell was arrested, and deeply researched the issue. So I was very familiar with Virginia Roberts Giuffre when I learned she took her life earlier this week.

Unsurprisingly, the public turned to conspiracy theories. Several people I know and follow online were saying that she hasn’t killed herself, but was instead murdered by powerful people. Even her are suspicious.

I have never met her in real life, and neither have the majority of people who discussed this online, so I won’t pretend I know where her mind was. But I think that jumping to conspiracy theories is causing us to miss the bigger picture.
