“If you are alone, you are the star.”

Japanese solo culture has culminated in that point.

I am not in a holiday mood; I am very serious.

Here is an observation of how Japanese solos have become so powerful and full of hope.

Everyone is solo.

Solo-dining, solo-karaoke, solo-travel to solo-wedding and beyond.

Japan’s solos have been busy expanding their sphere over the years.

Japanese ‘solos’ do not necessarily mean being single.

It simply refers to ‘being alone’ and includes all diverse contexts from Ohitori-sama (just for one), Solo-Katsu (activities) to living alone.

Solo is a state of everyone — or everyone can share the state of solo.
