THE CHRISTMAS GIFT THAT KEEPS GIVING
The Ongoing Presence of Jesus continues to provide for us.
Jesus Came.
He will come again.
He comes to us even now.
The gifts are unwrapped, and we are considering taking the decorations down. Maybe you have had your fill of company and now feel you need some days to recover.
We’ve celebrated the wonder of the first advent — Jesus’ miraculous birth in Bethlehem. And as believers, our hearts eagerly anticipate the second advent — Christ’s triumphant return to set all things right.
The Third Coming of Jesus Christ
But between those two monumental events lies something deeply personal and often overlooked: Christ comes to us right now. He arrives in “our present” as Immanuel — God with us. His presence is not abstract but real and personal through the Holy Spirit. While technically this is His Second Coming sequentially, that title is taken so some refer to Christ’s immediate presence today as the “Third Coming” of Christ.
